81  by  EMG

The EMG 81 is our most famous model; the one that started a revolution. Utilizing powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, the tone is endowed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix like a hot knife. When used in both positions the sound can only be described as blistering.

Tone Zone  by  Dimarzio

The Tone Zone® is hot enough to qualify as a high-output pickup, but it has a wider dynamic range - hard picking will produce a lot of power, and softer picking will be much cleaner and quieter. It’s got tremendous bass and low-mid response to reinforce the bottom end and make the overall sound bigger. The highest single notes have depth, and chords sound huge. Patented dual-resonance coils reproduce more overtones than you’d expect from such a fat-sounding pickup.

True Velvet Tele Neck  by  Dimarzio

Tele® neck pickups are finicky creatures. Players have often complained that they’re too weak, too muddy, and just don’t sound good. The Twang King™ Neck solved these problems, and we’ve taken it to the next level with the True Velvet™ T Neck. The low strings are as big and clean sounding as they are with the Twang King™, the highs are smoother, and the attack is stronger. This combination of qualities allows the True Velvet™ T to sound both pretty and tough.

True Velvet Tele Bridge  by  Dimarzio

The sound of a great vintage Tele® bridge pickup - if you can find one - is almost magical. It blends elements that shouldn’t be able to coexist: sizzle and warmth, sharp attack, and smooth sustain. In other words, it has depth. Single notes have weight and presence, and chords have detail and dimension. This was our goal for the True Velvet™ T Bridge. Controlled-tension coil winding, custom wire and hand-calibrated magnets give the True Velvet™ T real vintage sound, and double wax potting ensures that it’s squeal-free.

Twang King Neck  by  Dimarzio

When we decided to go for the vintage Tele® sound, we knew we had to do more than just copy a forty-year-old design. We wanted pickups that captured the best elements of our favorite Broadcaster® and Telecaster® sounds ? and then some. The Twang King™ pickups have unequalled response to pick attack: light playing produces a soft, quiet tone and hard picking creates a harder, louder, and more dynamic sound than any comparable single-coil. We accomplished this with a combination of controlled-tension coil-winding, special wire, and hand-calibrated magnets. The neck pickup comes with a chrome cover, and the bridge model has a ferrous base plate. Both pickups are wax-potted twice for squeal-free performance.

Fast Track 2  by  Dimarzio

It’s not any bigger than a single-coil pickup, but the sound of the Fast Track 2™ puts it right in the wide open, ?everything - on - 11? school. It’s got three times the output of an average single-coil, with a huge mid-range and bass punch and a strong resemblance to the Super Distortion®. This is our hottest single-coil sized bridge pickup - particularly useful when you need a tightly focused jolt of power to crank your amplifier into rich overdrive. Combining it with a Pro Track™ or The Chopper™ in the neck position and The Cruiser® or Fast Track 1™ in the middle makes a guitar with an outstanding,

SDS 1  by  Dimarzio

It might look like a Strat® guitar pickup, but the SDS-1™ adds punch, gain, and warmth reminiscent of the best old soapbar pickups. The adjustable pole pieces don't pull as hard as regular rod magnets, so you can get the pickup closer to the strings for stronger output. The highs are less exaggerated and the bottom is deeper than most singles for a rounder, darker tone. If your guitar's bridge position sound is too edgy, without the push needed to drive your amp, remedy the situation with an SDS-1™. Add a pair of True Velvet™ pickups for sparkle, or a True Velvet™ in the neck and an FS-1™ in the middle for balanced tone choices.

True Velvet Bridge  by  Dimarzio

It's not difficult to make a vintage single-coil pickup that's clean and bright, but not so easy if you also want the high strings to sound sweet above the 12th fret. The True Velvet™ Bridge was designed to make this happen by tuning the coil to a frequency range that’s bright but not thin. We combined this with a magnet stagger specifically designed to enhance string balance, which produces great clarity, even with full chords. The True Velvet™ Bridge is just a touch warmer and louder than the Neck and Middle, so the transition between pickup positions is very smooth and natural. The True Velvet™ Bridge comes standard with hand-ground magnets and vintage cloth covered wire.

Red Velvet  by  Dimarzio

The difference between a vintage Strat® bridge pickup sound and a classic Broadcaster® or Tele® tone is mostly a matter of attack and definition - the Strat® stings and screams, while the Tele® punches and sings. We thought it would be neat to have a Strat® pickup that does both, and this is it. The punch comes from the bottom-loaded Power Plate™, the sting from custom coil-winding and the True Velvet™ magnet stagger, and a unique mid-range ?growl? that’s a result of a hand-calibrated magnet structure. Try a Red Velvet™ bridge pickup with a pair of True Velvet™ pickups for a sound that’s both classic and new.
